Streamster Buyer Protection

You’re protected because the seller isn’t paid until your order arrives.

When you buy from a seller's live stream through Streamster checkout, these rules protect your order. They apply to every seller on every plan. The Streamster Buyer Guarantee (Streamster stepping in from a fund built from 0.5% of every sale, up to $250 per order, while the fund has money) applies to orders placed from October 24, 2026.

You buy from the seller, who is the merchant of record. Streamster runs the checkout and the rules below.

What's covered

  • The seller is paid after it arrives

When the carrier shows your order delivered, we ask whether it arrived as described. The seller is paid once you confirm, or 7 to 14 days after delivery if you don’t answer, depending on the order and the seller’s track record. Only confirm once you have everything.

  • Streamster Buyer Guarantee: Streamster steps in when the seller can’t

If tracking never shows your order delivered, or it arrives damaged, wrong or not as described and you report it with photos within 14 days of delivery, and the dispute is decided for you, the refund comes from the seller (their reserve, then their balance). If the seller can’t cover it, Streamster steps in from the Buyer Guarantee fund, which is built from 0.5% of every sale, up to $250 per order, while the fund has money. The fund pays only what it holds, so this isn’t insurance or a promise of payment beyond the fund.

  • Cancel for a full refund until it ships

Changed your mind? Cancel from My orders (we email you a sign-in link) any time before the seller buys the shipping label, and you get your money back in full.

  • The seller has 7 days to ship

Every seller must add a shipping label or tracking number within 7 days of your order. If they don’t, Streamster cancels the order and refunds you in full automatically. You don’t have to ask.

  • A real dispute process if something goes wrong

If your order never arrived, or arrived damaged, wrong or not as described, use Report a problem on the order within 14 days of delivery (or of the order date if it never arrived). The seller has 3 days to reply. If they don’t, and the carrier never delivered it, you’re refunded automatically. Otherwise a person on our team looks at both sides and decides. When a dispute is decided in your favour, Streamster issues the refund to your original payment method from the seller’s balance, so you don’t have to chase the seller.

  • Package stolen after delivery: a possible goodwill credit up to $50

If the carrier says delivered but it never reached you, report it as not received. On orders of $100 or less, Streamster may, at its discretion, give a one-time goodwill credit of up to $50, once every 12 months per buyer, after a person checks the carrier’s record, and only while the Buyer Guarantee fund has money. Not for signed-for deliveries, or when the carrier has a delivery photo or GPS showing it at your address. It comes from the fund, not the seller.

  • Extra security on bigger orders

Orders over $250 are checked with your card’s bank (3D Secure), and they ship with signature confirmation.

  • Your card protections still apply

You keep every right your card issuer gives you, including a chargeback. Our process usually finishes in about two weeks, well inside the time a chargeback allows, so trying it first costs you nothing.

What to know before you buy

  • Only purchases made through Streamster checkout

If anyone asks you to pay by Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, PayPal, gift card or a link outside streamster.shop, don’t. Those payments aren’t covered, and we can’t get the money back. Tell support@streamster.shop.

  • Damaged, wrong or not as described: return first

If a full refund is decided, you send the item back to the seller first and the refund follows when it arrives. Sellers can choose to refund without a return. You need at least 2 of your own photos of the item to open these disputes.

  • Tracking that says “delivered”

If the carrier shows your order delivered, a “never arrived” claim is generally decided for the seller and isn’t covered by the Buyer Guarantee; the most you can get is the porch-theft goodwill credit above. Check with neighbours and your building and file a claim with the carrier first. If you think the tracking is wrong, contact support.

  • Changing your mind after delivery

That’s up to the seller’s own refund policy. Streamster can’t require a refund for it.

  • Refunds come from the seller first

The seller is the merchant of record, and refunds are paid from their Stripe balance. Streamster runs the process, issues the refund, and covers what the seller can’t from the Buyer Guarantee fund, up to $250 per order, while the fund has money. It isn’t an insurance policy.

Not covered: orders the carrier shows delivered (except the goodwill credit above), signed-for deliveries, change-of-mind returns, claims after the 14-day window, and buyers blocked for abuse.

How to get help

  1. Message the seller with Contact seller on your order. Sellers are expected to reply within 3 days.
  2. Not sorted? Open My orders (or look up an order with your order number and email) and choose Report a problem within 14 days of delivery.
  3. Anything else: email support@streamster.shop with your order reference.

This page is a plain-English summary. The full rules are in the Buyer Terms of Sale, the Refund Policy and the Dispute Resolution Policy, and if anything here differs, those documents apply. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law.
