Prohibited & Restricted Items Policy

Last Updated: October 17, 2026

This policy is part of the Seller Agreement and the Terms of Service. It applies to every listing, every live stream and every message on Streamster. The seller is responsible for following the law where they and their buyers are, and the rules of Stripe, Facebook and Instagram, even where this page doesn't mention an item.

1. Items you can't sell

  • Firearms and weapons: guns, gun parts and kits, ammunition, suppressors, explosives and fireworks, switchblades and butterfly knives, brass knuckles, stun guns and tasers, pepper or bear spray.
  • Drugs: illegal drugs, controlled substances, prescription medicines, and drug paraphernalia such as bongs and dab rigs.
  • Counterfeit and replica goods: fakes, replicas, "1:1", "mirror quality", "inspired by" designer goods, dupes sold under a brand's name, and anything that infringes someone's trademark or copyright.
  • Stolen property, or goods you can't prove you have the right to sell.
  • Hazardous materials: asbestos, liquid mercury, radioactive or biohazardous material, banned pesticides.
  • Live animals, including puppies, kittens, fish, reptiles and insects.
  • Recalled products: anything subject to a safety recall, including recalls announced by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). Selling a recalled consumer product is illegal. Check cpsc.gov/Recalls before listing used children's products, cribs, strollers, car seats, toys and electronics. A listing that mentions a recall is held until a person checks it, and we remove any listing covered by a recall notice.
  • Identity documents and personal data: passports, driver's licenses, Social Security cards or numbers, fake IDs, card numbers or account logins.
  • Anything that sexualises or exploits minors. These listings are refused and reported.
  • Anything else illegal to sell or ship, or prohibited by Stripe's restricted businesses list.

2. Restricted items (checked by a person)

These can't go live until our team has looked at them:

  • CBD, THC and hemp products, kratom, nicotine, vapes, cigarettes and cigars.
  • Adult products and adult content.
  • Crypto-mining equipment.

3. Categories that need approval

Before you sell in these categories, we approve your store for them. We may ask for proof of authenticity, such as receipts, serial numbers or grading certificates. Once your store is approved for a category, new listings in it no longer wait for review.

  • Luxury bags and accessories (for example Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Hermès, Gucci, Dior).
  • Collectible sneakers (for example Air Jordan, Yeezy, Dunks).
  • Luxury watches (for example Rolex, Omega, Audemars Piguet, Patek Philippe, Cartier).
  • Graded trading cards (PSA, BGS, CGC, SGC).
  • Supplements, including protein, pre-workout and weight-loss products.

4. How listings are checked

  • Every listing is checked automatically when you create it, edit its name or description, import it from a CSV file or sync it from Shopify.
  • If a listing matches this policy, it is saved but hidden, and we tell you why on the Products page and by email. Our team reviews it, usually within one business day, and either publishes it or keeps it hidden.
  • The check matches whole words and phrases, so "glue gun", "passport holder" or a "Mercury dime" are fine. If we hold something by mistake, we'll publish it once a person has looked.
  • Re-wording a held listing doesn't publish it: it stays hidden until our team decides.
  • Live streams are covered too: see the Live Selling Rules. Viewers can report a stream, and we can end a broadcast, remove listings or suspend a store.
  • To report a dangerous or recalled product to the government, use SaferProducts.gov (CPSC), and tell us at support@streamster.shop so we can take the listing down.

5. Keep sales and payments on Streamster

Buyer Protection and our dispute process only cover purchases paid through Streamster checkout. So:

  • Don't ask buyers to pay by Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, PayPal, wire transfer, crypto or gift cards, and don't offer a cheaper price "off the app".
  • Messages between buyers and sellers go through Streamster. We hide email addresses, phone numbers, payment handles and outside links in them, and we keep a record.
  • Sellers see a masked version of a buyer's email. Shipping labels only need the ship-to address.
  • Sellers who try anyway: a first attempt gets a warning, a second suspends selling for 7 days, and a third closes the store. At most one attempt counts per 24 hours, and a person reviews any case you dispute.
  • Buyers: if a seller asks you to pay outside Streamster, please don't, and tell us at support@streamster.shop.

6. Tracking numbers must be real

  • Each tracking number can be used on one order only. Several orders to the same buyer in one box are fine.
  • A hand-entered tracking number counts as shipped once the carrier scans the parcel. If there is no carrier scan within 72 hours, the order goes back to "needs shipping" and we email you. The 7-day ship-by date doesn't move.
  • Streamster labels are tracked automatically.

7. What happens if you break this policy

We can remove listings, end live streams, hold payouts for affected orders, suspend selling or close a store, depending on how serious it is and whether it has happened before. Questions or an appeal: support@streamster.shop.
