Live Selling Rules
Effective October 17, 2026
These rules apply to every stream you broadcast through Streamster, on your Streamster watch page and on Facebook and Instagram. They are part of the Seller Agreement, alongside the Prohibited & Restricted Items policy. Facebook's and Instagram's own Community Standards apply too. Viewers can report a stream, and we can end a broadcast, remove listings or suspend a store.
1. What you can show
- No nudity or sexual content, including lingerie "try-ons" that show more than a standard retail photo would.
- No violence or threats, no graphic injury, and no weapons being handled or shown off on camera.
- No hate or harassment: nothing that attacks people for race, ethnicity, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or similar traits, and no bullying of viewers or other sellers.
- No dangerous acts and no drug use on camera.
- Nobody under 18 selling on camera. Minors may appear only briefly and incidentally, never in a sexualised or exploitative way.
- Be honest. Describe condition, authenticity and flaws accurately. What you say on stream counts as part of the listing.
2. Music, copyright and trademarks
- Only play music you have the rights to stream. Background radio, Spotify or Apple Music aren't licensed for broadcast. Facebook and Instagram may mute or cut your stream, and rights owners can send us a notice. Use royalty-free or properly licensed music, or none.
- Don't rebroadcast TV, films, sports or another creator's stream.
- Don't sell counterfeits or use a brand's logo to suggest you are an authorised seller when you aren't.
- Copyright complaints go to dmca@streamster.shop. We remove material after a valid notice, you can send a counter-notice, and an account with 3 valid notices is terminated (Terms §8.4–8.6).
3. Guests and co-hosts
You are responsible for everyone on your stream. If a guest, co-host or someone in the room breaks these rules, it counts as you breaking them. Brief guests before you go live, and end or cut away from the stream if a guest won't stop.
4. Comments and chat
- Moderating comments on Facebook and Instagram is your job. Streamster sends your video there, but the comments live on Meta's apps and Streamster can't see or remove them. Use the hide, delete, block and keyword-filter tools in Facebook and Instagram, and add a moderator if you sell to a big audience.
- Remove comments that harass people, share someone's personal information, or ask buyers to pay elsewhere.
- Don't promise anything in chat (a discount, a refund, a ship date) you won't honour; buyers can rely on it in a dispute.
5. Giveaways
A prize drawing that requires a purchase is an illegal lottery in most states, so every giveaway follows Seller Agreement §6A:
- Free to enter. No "buy to enter", no extra entries for buying, bidding, tipping or subscribing. One entry per person.
- You are the sponsor and you pick the winner by random draw. Streamster doesn't run, judge or award giveaways.
- Post short official rules before you start (who can enter: US residents 18+; how to enter free; start and end time; the prize and its retail value; how the winner is picked; "void where prohibited"; and that entrants release Streamster, Facebook and Instagram).
- Say "NO PURCHASE NECESSARY" every time you promote it. The Streamster giveaway countdown shows it for you.
- No cash prizes, gift cards or crypto, and total prizes under $5,000 per giveaway.
- You ship the prize, free, within 7 days.
Step-by-step guidance and a rules template you can paste: Running a giveaway.
6. Keep sales on Streamster
- Every sale in your stream goes through Streamster checkout. Don't tell viewers to pay by Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, PayPal, crypto or a DM, and don't offer a cheaper price "off the app".
- Only list items you can ship within 7 days. Recalled products can't be sold (check cpsc.gov/Recalls before listing used children's products, cribs, car seats or toys).
- The penalty ladder for off-platform payment requests is in the Prohibited & Restricted Items policy: a warning, then a 7-day selling suspension, then closing the store.
7. What happens if a rule is broken
Depending on how serious it is and whether it has happened before, we may end the stream, remove listings, hold payouts for affected orders, suspend selling or close the store. Questions or an appeal: support@streamster.shop.
