Free Trial and Adding a Card

Last updated: October 16, 2026

What this page helps you do: understand exactly what the free trial includes, why you add a card, and what happens on day 15.

Every new seller gets a 14-day free trial with Creator+ features and 3 live hours of streaming in total. Signing up needs no card. To go live during the trial you add a card once. It is only charged if a stream runs past your free trial hours (extra time is billed at $8/hour), and the trial does not turn into a paid plan by itself. When it ends your account moves to the free plan (no live streaming) until you choose a plan.

What the trial includes

  • 3 live hours (180 minutes) of streaming in total for the whole trial, not per month. Once they're used, you choose a plan to go live again. (The founding-seller trial includes 1 live hour.)
  • Simulcasting to Facebook Live and Instagram Live from one OBS stream
  • Unlimited products, CSV import, and the buy card overlay
  • Shipping labels through your own connected Shippo account (a Creator+ and Pro feature; on Go and Starter you add tracking yourself with Mark shipped)
  • Selling with Stripe, sales during the trial use the standard 4% commission

Adding a card to go live

  1. On your dashboard home, open the last step of the setup checklist, Add a card (unlocks your free live hours). It says: No charge unless you stream past your free trial hours. After that it's $8/hr. (Only trial and Go sellers see this step, so their checklist has 6 steps instead of 5.)
  2. Click Add a card and enter your card on the secure Stripe page. It's saved; nothing is charged now.
  3. You come back to your dashboard and the step ticks itself.
  4. Skipped it? The Go live panel still asks for a card when you click Prepare to go live: add it there, then click Prepare again.

✓ What success looks like: the Add a card step shows a tick, and Prepare to go live arms your broadcast without asking for a card. You only do this once.

Adding a card doesn't start a subscription. If a trial stream is already live when your free trial hours run out, it may finish, and the extra time is billed to this card at $8/hour, prorated by the minute (amounts under $0.50 are carried to the next charge and waived if the trial ends first). If that charge fails, pay it from Billing before going live again. Nothing else is billed unless you choose a plan yourself. Questions about a charge? Use the support form or email support@streamster.shop.

When the trial ends

  • Your account moves to the free plan. Live streaming isn't included, so Prepare to go live shows "Live streaming isn't included on your current plan".
  • Your products, orders, payouts and settings are kept.
  • To go live again, pick a plan on Choose your plan:
    • Go, $0/month, 3 live hours a month (then $8/hour to your card on file), 6% commission for your first 90 days of selling, then 8%
    • Starter, $39/month, 10 live hours, 4% commission
    • Creator+, $199/month, 40 live hours, 2% commission
    • Pro, $499/month, 100 live hours, 1% commission

Paid plans renew monthly until you cancel, and you can cancel any time in Settings (Go has no subscription to cancel). Full details: Payments & Fees and the pricing page.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a card to sign up for the free trial?

No. Signing up is free and needs no card. You add a card in the dashboard checklist's "Add a card (unlocks your free live hours)" step before your first live stream.

Will my card be charged during or after the trial?

Only if a trial stream runs past your free trial hours: a stream that is already live may finish, and the extra time is billed to your saved card at $8/hour, prorated by the minute. Otherwise the card is not charged. The trial does not convert to a paid plan automatically; a plan is only charged if you choose one yourself.

What happens when the 14-day trial ends?

Your account moves to the free plan, which does not include live streaming. Your products, orders and settings stay. Choose a plan whenever you want to go live again: Go ($0/month, 6% per sale for your first 90 days of selling, then 8%, 3 live hours a month), Starter, Creator+ or Pro.

Can I get a second free trial?

No, there is one free trial per person. If the card you add for the trial, or the bank account you add for payouts, was already used for a free trial on another Streamster account, the new account does not get a free trial: it moves to the free plan and you choose a paid plan to go live and sell.

What is included in the trial?

Creator+ features with 3 live hours (180 minutes) of streaming in total for the whole trial: simulcasting to Facebook and Instagram, the buy card overlay, CSV import and Shippo shipping labels. Sales during the trial use the standard 4% commission.
